For my crime of being small, a challenging climbing game/story.
Genre: Adventure, platformer
Themes:
Dealing with the feeling of lagging behind in life, relationship wise, career wise or having high expectations for the future.
Inadequacy, feeling small and not worthy, hostility towards the unknown. Personal growth and acceptance.
Target Audience: People who feel like they are lagging behind in their career, relationship, or life in general. And people who want a difficult challenge in a VR game.

Story:
“For My Crime of Being Small” will be a first-person climbing game. This story will be about a small humanoid creature whose life has been terrorized by giants as vast as landscapes. In this world, you are as big as you feel about yourself. The protagonist feels like it is lagging behind in life and hopes to be as big as a giant one day. When again a giant destroys the protagonist’s house, the protagonist has had enough and decides to climb this enormous giant so it can look him in the eyes and ask why. Why do you want to destroy me, and why are you so big, and am I still so small?
Landscape and gameplay
You play as the small creature and will climb the giant. During the climb, there will be obstacles one must cross, for example, giant hands wiping along the climbing area, massive gaps to jump over, and puzzle-like climbing sections. You will meet other climbing creatures, and with the help of these small but very capable creatures you can unlock different ways of climbing, further enhancing the gameplay and diversifying the ways to tackle challenges.
I want the giant to be as big as a landscape and as vast as the horizon. You will climb your way up to its head. Which will become more difficult the higher you go up, and if you fall down you will lose some progress. As you climb towards the top, you can start to notice how the protagonist is growing, eventually outgrowing the giant, who now seems to be on his own journey.  Now that you have grown, you have the ability to crush the once giant, but will you do it? This story is about personal acceptance and growth, which should never be at the cost of others.
